Joann N. Padgett

Joann Newton Padgett left her earthly family to be with her heavenly family, Friday August 19, 2011 after an extended illness surrounded by her family and friends at her passing . She was born July 17, 1938 to the late Lee Ivo and Ruth Atchley Newton who preceded her in death as well as her sister Jane Robinson. A native of Rutherford county she spent over half her life in Gastonia raising her family.She was a fierce defender of her children, grandchildren, and her Yorkie Scooter.She leaves behind her husband of 53 years Roger Padgett, her son & family Monty, Robin and Justin Padgett, her daughter and family Freda, Mark and Ashley Reep, her sister Janet Fulton, her brothers Gerald Newton and Jeff Newton and wife Vickey and many nieces and nephews.
