JoAnn Davidson Jenkins

Gastonia – JoAnn Davidson Jenkins, 85, passed away on March 22, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on October 30, 1935 to the late Otis Clayton and Etta Ford Davidson. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband James Donald Jenkins, Sr.; brothers, Don and Dean Davidson, sister Delois Davidson.
JoAnn was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed helping people especially the ladies in her neighborhood. She looked forward to her time on Sunday's with her family for Sunday dinners. JoAnn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her beloved sons, James Donald Jenkins II and wife Tammy, Bryon David Jenkins and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Austin, Ashlee, Alyson, Cody and wife Kendall, Clint and wife Heather; great grandson Maverick; sister Brenda Purser and husband H.E. and their daughter Laney Henderson and husband Hudson.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., Thursday, March 25th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with a Graveside to follow at 3:00 p.m., Thursday at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Time Four with Pastor Mike Criswell officiating.
Pallbearers will be Cody Jenkins, Clint Jenkins, Austin Jenkins, Michael Dosher, Bryon Jenkins and Donald Jenkins.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Love Memorial Baptist Church,311 East Walnut Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28054
