She was born on November 30, 1959 in Georgetown, SC to the late Russell Hancel and Barbara Cochran Joyner.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Neal Avery; Grandparents, Smith and Georgie Cochran; Walter and Pearl Joyner
Survivors include her sister, Dana Joyner Moore and fiancé Timothy Wareham; brothers, Eric and Russell Joyner and wife, Jan R. Joyner all of Georgetown, SC; Nieces, Ashley Crawford and husband Thomas; Kelly Crosby and husband David; Elizabeth L. Joyner;; nephews, Trey Moore and girlfriend Kelly Rice; Christopher A. Joyner and Phillip A. Joyner; Great nieces, Kyleigh, Kadence and Karlie Crawford, Victoria Joyner and great nephew, Armondo Joyner whom she all loved dearly.
