Gastonia – Jo Ann Buckley Parham, 57 passed away peacefully on her birthday October 27, 2014 at CMC Main surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Belle, West Virginia on October 27, 1957 to the late Denver Clinton and Betty Walker Buckley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Denver Eugene Buckley and nephew, Brandon Davisson.
Jo was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church where she was saved and baptized. She was a loving wife, mother and Nana who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband of 14 years who loved her very much, Rodney Parham, daughters, Mandi Gori Payne and husband Ronnie; Grandson, Gavin Conner Payne; Renee' Gori Ramsey and husband Michael; Granddaughter, Landry Delilah Ramsey; step daughter, Donna Smith; step sons, Chris Parham and Matthew Parham; Step Grandchildren, Maddie Smith, Ayden Parham, Lucien Smith, Declan Parham and Jackson Payne; brothers, Jack Buckley and wife Cheryl; Joe Buckley and wife Sharon; sister, Marilyn Buckley Davisson and her special friend, Ed
Visitation will be Thursday, October 30th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Withers and Whisenant Funeral home, 2916 Union Road, Gastonia. Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, October 31st at 2:00 pm at First Freewill Baptist Church, 2316 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054 with Pastor John Gibbs and Dr. Randy Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the Gastonia Police Department Honor Guard.
