Jimmy King

October 19, 1951 — February 10, 2011

Gastonia- Jimmy King, 59 of Gastonia passed away peacefully February 10, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Gaston County, born October 19, 1951 to the late Grady James and Lucille Hope King.
Jimmy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Stanley and he enjoyed fishing. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his son, Matthew James King and wife Heather Nichole King of Camp Casey, South Korea;
Two sisters: Vicki and Thamir Al-Hussaini of Lake Norman;
Fran and David Deese of Gastonia; One niece and Four nephews
The family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service at the church
Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 'pm, Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church Stanley with Pastor Noel Sweezy officiating
Military honors will be by the NC National Honor Guard
Interment will be at Stanley Cemetery at a later date
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, 217 N. Main Street, Stanley, NC 28164
