Gastonia – Jimmy Lee Hagans, 72, went home to be with his Lord on November 18, 2022 at his home.
Jimmy was born in Mecklenburg County on January 7, 1950 to the late John and Eva Griffin Hagans. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Bobby and Tony Hagans; and his brothers, Gene and Mike Hagans.
Jimmy was a member of River of Life Full Gospel Church and loved to preach. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Jimmy was a collector of all things and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He leaves many happy memories that will be cherished by everyone that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gloria Jean Hagans; his daughter Loretta Greene (Alfred); brother, Ricky Hagans (Jackie); grandchildren, David Greene (Amanda) and Christopher Greene (Amy); and his great-grandchildren, Caleb Goodspeed, Cameron Ledbetter, and Mckayla Johnson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Withers and Whisenant Chapel with Pastor Judd Burnette officiating.
