Gastonia - Jimmie Darrell Fender, 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Robin Johnson House, Dallas. Jimmie was born in Coffey County, Georgia and was the son of the late Elmer and Sarah Katherine Dasher Fender and also preceded in death by a brother, Franklin Phillips.
He was a Radar Technician with the Federal Aviation Authority in Charlotte. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Jimmie leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 31 years, Gloria Ridley Fender; loving daughter, Sarah Fender (Gastonia); brother, Quincey Fender (Broxton, Georgia).
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Sims Funeral Home, 201 North Peterson Avenue, Douglas, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to: Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.
