Gastonia 'Jerry Stewart Rhyne, 75 of Gastonia passed away October 30, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Alexander County, born May 26, 1936 to the late Roy and Ora Lee Stewart Rhyne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother Ted Rhyne and Sisters Frances Small and Dorothy Eddings. Jerry was retired from Ryerson Steel, Charlotte, and was a veteran of the US Navy; he was also a member of the Absher Flowers VFW.
He was survived by his wife of 50 years Judy Clark Rhyne;
his children Timothy Mark Rhyne of Gastonia, Jerri Rhyne Costner of Gastonia and Elizabeth Rhyne Small of Dallas;
a brother Roy F Rhyne, Jr of Bessemer City
The family will receive friends 6:00 until 8:00pm Wednesday, November 2 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Graveside services will be 2:00pm Thursday, November 3 at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Time I section with Military Honor by the NC National Guard Honor Guard
The family will be at the sons home 145 Burton Hills Circle, Gastonia
