Jeffery Scott Pearson

Lincolnton – Jeffery Scott Pearson, 53, passed away peacefully at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on September 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. 

Jeffery was born in Gaston County on July 27, 1971 to the late Sherry Hargrave Lovingood and Randall Ray Lovingood. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Gross Carson Hargrave and Margaret Beer Hargrave. 

Sherry and Randall owned and operated Lovingood Tax for 35 years, where Jeff worked for many wonderful years. He enjoyed riding his onewheel, camping, and flying paramotor. The family wants to send a special thank you to his fly-in buddies.

He is survived by his daughter Allyssa Pearson, his son, Kendall Pearson (Caterina) sister, Melissa Lovingood and her husband Reggie Graham, nephew, Seth Lovingood (Cassidy); niece, Madison Graham; aunt, Teresa Hargrave, great niece, Rowyn Lovingood; special friends, Melody Etherton, and  Merlin Soublet, his special fly-in buddy. 

The family will receive friends at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home on Sunday, from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 5:00 p.m. in the Withers and Whisenant Chapel with Pastor Tony Phillips officiating.
