Stanley – Dorothy Jean Wall Ford, 69 went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 30, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Gaston County on October 29, 1948 to Jewell Parker Wall and the late Carl H. Wall, Sr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Sonny and Jerry Wall.
Jean enjoyed serving her Lord and her church Kingdom Life Church. Her greatest accomplishment was serving as a missionary to Africa. She also enjoyed working with crafts.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed!
Jean was MOST PROUD of her family!!
Left to cherish her memories includes her loving husband of 51years, Pastor Jack C Ford, Jr.; her mother Jewell Parker Wall; her devoted daughters, Tammy Love (Jim), Renee Smith and Melissa Long (Jason); grandchildren, Chris Baggett, Brandon Baggett, Joshua Smith, Craig Smith, Britni Weaver and Paige Long; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Christian, Jayden, Peyton, and Nikolai Smith and Carter Weaver; her brothers, Bill, Donnie, Doug, Dean, Mark and Jeff Wall; sisters Sherry Stroupe and Susan Hogue.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Life Church, 905 Shannon-Bradley Road, Gastonia with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Sunday at the Kingdom Life Church with Bishop Abner Ramos, Reverend Harold Ashe and Bishop Ron Duncan officiating.
Interment will be private at Gaston Memorial Park with Reverend Larry Wells officiating, with the releasing of the doves
Pallbearers will be Jason Long, Chris Weaver, Chris Baggett, Brandon Baggett, Joshua Smith and Craig Smith.
