Gastonia-Jean Glenn Clemmer, 84, of 1210 E Garrison Blvd went home to be with the Lord July 5, 2010, surrounded by her family.
She was a native of York County, born April 23, 1926 to the late David McAllister and Mary Kathryn Robinson Glenn. She worked at Gurney Industries for many years. She was a lifelong member of East Garrison Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jasper Lee Clemmer, Jr. who died in 1985, sisters: Mabel Glenn, Margaret G Crawford, Nancy G Wallace; brothers: David M Glenn, Jr. and James A Glenn
Survivors include her sons: David Lee Clemmer and wife Kathryn of Charlotte, Dennis Glenn Clemmer and Marsha Fletcher of Gastonia
Grandchildren: Jason Clemmer and wife Ashley, Michael David Clemmer
Great Grandchildren: Brandi and Brandon Clemmer
Brother, Joe C. Glenn of Gastonia, Thomas Edward Glenn of Clover, SC
Mothers of the grandchildren: Sherry McRainey and Sandy Climer both of Gastonia
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, July 7, 2010 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Baltzegar officiating
The family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park Evergreen B section
