Jay W. Costner

Gastonia-Jay Wilton Costner, Jr. 56 of 122 Jeran Lane went to be with his Heavenly Father April 10, 2012 at his residence.
He was a native of Gaston County, born August 25, 1955 to the late Jay Milton Costner and Betty Jean Moxley Costner

He was preceded in death by his Parents, a Son Jay Costner, III

Jay loved to play the guitar and listen to music of all kinds and loved to fish. He enjoyed working in his yard especially working in his rose garden.
Jay was a loving son, father and brother.

Survivors include his children Sissy Costner and husband Andrew Leepard, Jessica and Jessie; one granddaughter Summer Stamey; Girlfriend Dolly McClure and very good friend of the family Pat Rollins
his sisters Carolyn Acthley and husband Bobby, Brenda Pettus and husband Laiton, Sherron Franklin and husband Gary, Cecilia Griffith and husband Chris, Lisa Chastain and husband Bobby, Sarah Stevens and husband Doug, and a halfsister Mary Frye; brothers Darrell and Joe Costner, stepbrothers William and Wally Spivey Many nieces and nephews
Celebration of Life service will be 2:00pm Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Hudson officaiting
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Friday, April 13 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Interment will be at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with the Releasing of the Doves
Memorials may be made the family to purchase a monument
Pallbearers will be Matthew Pettus, Wally Spivey, Robert Waldrop, Jamie Clarke, Shane McCall and Dale Chastain
