Gastonia - Jason James Hughes, 40, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at University of North Carolina Medical Center, Chapel Hill. He was born in Gastonia and is the son of Martha Hughes Stiles of Gastonia and his late step-father, who raised Jason as his son, Charlie Stiles.
Jason leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Crystal Swanson Hughes of Laurens, South Carolina; two sons, Kaine Hughes, Gaige Hughes of Laurens, South Carolina; mother, Martha Ann Hughes Stiles of Gastonia; grandmother, Allie Stiles; one brother, Anthony Hughes of Dallas; three sisters, Emily Robbins and husband Antanio, Darlene Stiles, Jamie Stiles of Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Living Hope Baptist Church, 609 Osceola Street, Gastonia with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Living Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Gardner officiating.
Inurnment will be private and at a later date.
