Janet "Jan" Sewell Wright

Gastonia – Janet Sewell "Jan" Wright, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 7th at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Hayesville, NC on April 20, 1940 to the late George and Annie Bell Tanner Sewell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Homer E. Wright, brothers and sisters, Nova Lee Nix, Ella Nerio, Troy Sewell, Harold Sewell, Noel Sewell, Terry Sewell, Emma Lou Dodson, and Mary Hardin.

Jan was an active member of Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church. She loved her church, the beach and the mountains, her family and enjoyed life. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed!

Left to cherish her memories includes her children, Marie Rigney, Angela (Rock) Redford, Charles Rick (Trish Edwards), Sharlene (Ben) House; grandchildren, Laramie, Chris, LaShaun, Jessica, Billy, Lindsay, Stephanie, Sarah and Kendall; Seventeen great grandchildren;
Brothers John Harley (Sis)Sewell, Paul (Betty) Sewell; sisters, Clara (Danny) Botts, Delores (Mike) Holcomb; brother and sister-in-law, Wanda Sewell and Rush Hardin

The family will receive friends from 11:30 p.m. to 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, October 10th at Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Josh Baer officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves.

Pallbearers will be Danny Botts, Charles Rick, David Welch, Ronnie King, Scott Phillips and Rock Redford
