He was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, born October 7, 1956 to the late James Edward and Sara Lunsford Parks
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Sara Lunsford Shannon and Louis Shannon; his father James Edward Parks, Sr

Survivors include his sister, Carol Jean Parks; his half brother and sisters, Shawn, Kelly and Leslie Parks. And several nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00pm, Friday, January 10th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral with a 3:00 service to follow in the Chapel with Pastor Janet Dixon officiating.
