James Mark Kelly

Mark Kelly, 61, passed away peacefully at CaroMont Regional Hospital on September 8, 2024.  He was born in Gaston County on May 26, 1963 to James Douglas Kelly and the late Patty Eller Kelly. 

Mark loved old rock music, He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and grilling. He never met a stranger Most of all he loved his family, He made many happy memories with his family, especially his grandchildren who will cherish them forever. 

He is survived by his father, James Douglas Kelly; his children, Meagon Roden, Michael Kelly; grandchildren, Dakota Roden, James Kelly, Lucille Craig and Leland Bradshaw; brother, Mike Kelly (Rosie) and their son Troy Lee, Debbie Faile (Darryl) and their son Cameron (Shauna) and daughter, Nicole(Wes), Denise Hodge (Larry) and their daughter, (Jamie)

Mark will lie in state on 12-1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12th at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC
