James "Jim" N. Galloway

Ranlo – James N. “Jim” Galloway, 77 passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the Robin Johnson House. He was a native of Gaston County, Born July 29, 1945 to James E. Galloway and Martha Rachel Neal Galloway.

Jim was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Vietnam. He worked for Yellow Freight for over 20+ years. He also enjoyed wood working. He was a loving son and brother.

Survivors include his sisters,  Nalene Hall, Rachel Hamilton and husband Luke; step-children, Heather Jolly, Brandon and Ashley Jolly; step grandchildren, CaraMia Boykin, Harper and Saylor Jolly, Mattilynn Sams; nieces and nephews, Steven and Christine Queen, Lanny and Pam Queen, Sondra and Shane Caughey, Jamie and Kim Queen,  Wendy and Mackenzie Hamilton, Stephanie Hamilton Gee and Kevin; great-nieces and nephews, Brittany Queen, Tyler Queen,  Libby Queen, Alexandria Caughey, Dakota Caughey, Scott Queen, Jamie Lee Queen, Ethan Costner, Devan Costner, Finnley Hamilton, and Hayleigh Laws and husband Ethan; and his special friends, Palmer and Becky Warren; his beloved cat, Callie.

Celebration of Life service will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Keller officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Burial will be at Salisbury National Cemetery.
