Gastonia – James Douglas "Doug" Griffin, 77, passed away on January 27, 2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Doug was born on January 4, 1945, in Gaston County to the late William and Lizzie Viola Broome Griffin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Griffin, Jr and a sister Nadine Goss
Doug was a loving husband, and father. He retired from Lowe's after many years of dedicated service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Left to cherish his memories includes his loving wife of 56 years, Jane Lowrance Griffin.
Daughter and son in law, Melinda and husband Brian Horton, son Douglas Eric Griffin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions are requested to donations@ALS.org
