Butch was a native of Cleveland County, born January 9, 1954 to the late James Ray Mitchell, Sr and Eleanor Cash Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Annice M Hunt.
Butch was owner of Mitchell Wholesale (Restaurant Supplies)
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beth Hodge Mitchell, daughters, Stacy Mitchell Middleton and husband Phil of Belmont; and Megan Mitchell of Gastonia; son Christian Benjamin Mitchell and fiancé Audrey Matthews of Gastonia; grandson Dalton Mitchell of Belmont, sister Jean Mitchell Tupola of Maui, Hawaii; brother Richard Dimsdale and wife Barbara of Asheville, nephew Nathan Summerlin of Wilkes-Barr, PennsyIvania; beloved fur baby Roscoe, as well as many dear and loving friends who are considered family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Saturday, January 18 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Celebration of life service will be 4:00pm Sunday January 19, 2014 18 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Interment will be private
