Gastonia – James Robert "Bobby" Lemley, Sr., 76 went home to be with his Lord on October 20, 2019 at the Robin Johnson House.
He was born in Gaston County on July 4, 1943 to the late William and Aileen Frances Martin Lemley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Evalou Rudisill, Leroy, Earl, Mitchell, Billy and Barbara Lemley.
Bobby retired from Textiles.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 53 years, Naomi Herms Lemley; children, James Robert Lemley, Jr.; Angela Lemley (Marc) Sanford; Jeffery Scott (Angel) Lemley; grandchildren, Summer Lemley, Joshua Lemley, Jordan (Jessica) Sanford, Madison Sanford;
great grandchildren, Easton Sanford and Aiden Sanford.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with Pastor Dickie Spargo officiating.
