Gastonia-Jackie Suzanne Long Brooks, 59 of Gastonia passed away peacefully February 1, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at the Robin Johnson House.
Jackie was a native of Gaston County, born November 3, 1954 to Beulah Faye Ray Long and the late Robert H Long, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her father, her brother Robert H Long, Jr,, her brother-in-law, Bill Smith, nephews, Casey and Shane Lyles, a cousin Jeff Mitchem
She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Chester "Chet" Eugene Brooks; her mother, Beulah Faye Ray Long; her son Donovan Byers and wife Kim; grandchildren Lacie and Kenneth Byers; Sisters Sandra Smith and Cynthia Edwards, Sister-in-law Patsy Ajala; Nieces, Page Pendleton and Leah Milwood, Nephew Will Smith and most of all her beloved dog Atti
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00pm Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Celebration of Life service will be at 6:00pm, Thursday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Fleming and Nancy Stowe
