Gastonia – Irene Davis Broome, 85, passed away on July 05, 2015 at Carillion Assisted Living in Cramerton.
She was born in Gaston County on March 2, 1930 to the late Clarence and Dora Rollins Davis.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years James Broome, Sr.; brothers Ralph Davis and Herman Davis and sisters Ruth Dehart, Lucille Turner, Harleston Byrd and Hilda Hundley
Irene was a precious lady who loved the Lord, her family and friends very much…..
Survivors include son, Jim Broome and wife Cathy; daughter, Ruth Abbott and husband Stephen all of Gastonia; brother, Joe Davis and wife Dee of Ranlo; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:30 – 7:00 pm before the service.
Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be Friday, July 10th at 7:00 pm at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Carver officiating.
Interment will be private
