Gastonia- Irene Marion Briggs, 93 of Gastonia passed away November 19, 2011at Stanley Total Living Center.
She was a native of Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, born July 8, 1918
to the late Arthur and Bertha Cruickshank Burgess. Mrs. Briggs was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 61 years James Briggs
Survivors include her children, Donna M Cowdrey, Judith M Salamone and Alan N Briggs;
Grandchildren Christopher Cowdrey, Gregory Salamone, Michael Salamone, Brandon and Bonnie Briggs;
Great Grandchildren Savannah and Megan Cowdrey and Mia Salamone; Sister Jean Swanborn
Graveside service will be at a later date in The Gardens at Gethsemane, W Roxbury, MA
