Hubert Stanley Pilkington

Dallas- Hubert Stanley Pilkington, 84, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2014 at the Robin Johnson House.
He was born in Graham County, NC, on August 20, 1929 to the late Jack and Maggie Ball Pilkington.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 59 years, Ruth Phillips Pilkington; Brothers and sisters, Willard, Banard, Dixie Byrd, Maxine Buchanan and Delmas
Hubert was a Retired self-employed Truck Driver for over 50 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. His granddaughter Jada was the apple of his eye. Hubert loved to joke and laugh. He enjoyed just being outside.
Survivors include his daughter, Dorothy Elaine Cannon and husband Winslow and granddaughter, Jada Rachelle Mangum all of Dallas
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. Ronnie Simmons officiating. Graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Westview Gardens with The Releasing of the Doves
