Hilda S. Queen

January 12, 1917 — February 24, 2012

Dallas-Hilda Bryte Stowe Queen, 95 of 120 Robinson Clemmer Road Dallas passed away peacefully February 24, 2012 at her residence.

She was a native of Gaston County, born January 12, 1917 to the late Clyde Dalton Stowe and Essie Mendenhall Stowe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl Neal Queen who died in 1977, her brother, Clyde Dalton Stowe, Jr. and sisters Rebecca S. Cherry and Thelma S Schrum;
Hilda was the longest and oldest living member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Queen and wife Janell; and Scott Queen all of Dallas, grandchildren Tim Queen,Carla Weiler,Laura Queen; a brother Al Stowe of Gastonia, and several nieces and a nephews.

The family will receive friends from12:30 until 2:00pm Tuesday, February 28th at Holy Communion Lutheran Church
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 28th at Holy Communion Lutheran Church with Rev. Ed Crotty officiating
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Scott Queen for her funeral expenses
The family would like to send special thanks to her caregivers Barbara Lemley, Jane Hoyle for their wonderful and loving care, and Hoyle Withers for always being there. And also to Holy Communion Lutheran Church for their support over the years and Gaston Hospice
