Gastonia – Helen Inez "Gertie Arlene" Fisher Tallent, passed away on July 31, 2015
She was born in Jackson County, NC on May 5, 1941 to the Samuel Howard and Josephine Mathis Fisher.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald Arp, Don Tallent and Bobby B. Pope; brother, Howard Fisher and sisters, Bethel Rumfelt, and granddaughter, Anna Marie Arp Cornwell
Helen was a loving mother grandmother and great grandmother. She also was a mother figure to all her children's friends. She will be greatly missed!
Survivors include her sons Jeffery Arp and Richard Arp; daughter, Patsy Arp
Grandchildren, Seth Thomas, Jason Thomas; Great Grandchildren, Nathan Durden, Jayda Smith and Brady Thomas; Edith Blanton, Gladys Hoyle; and numerous nieces and nephews
Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, August 4th at 11:00 am at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Shannon Williams officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Evergreen "A Quiet Place"
