She was a native of Gaston County, NC born January 26, 1937 to the late Joseph Ernest and Winnie Ingram Newman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles W Baker who died 11 years ago, and a son James Baker.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her family so much, raising 8 children and 4 grandchildren; and was a collectors of
over 150 Angels and many other different items.
Survivors include her children, Mollie Cloward, J.C. Ervin, Joy Day and husband Dale, Phillip Ervin, Charles Baker, George Baker, Deanna Barnes and husband Nathan; sisters, Mary Ann Harvell and husband Boyce, Dorothy Meadows, Harvey Newman, Lewis Newman and wife Dora Mae, Charles Newman and wife Barbara Ann
She had a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren
