Hazel Dye Glover
1934-2018
Gastonia – Hazel Lee Dye Glover, 84, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Gaston County on March 29, 1934 and was the daughter of late Alvin Holbert and Mary Reece Dye.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roy Glover;
grandson, Stanley Theodore Baucom, Jr.; brothers, Harold and Raymond Dye.
Hazel is a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church where she served as Sunday school teacher. She retired from Homelite, Inc. and had worked at Burlington Industries.
Survivors include her son, Michael and wife Margie Glover; daughter, Janice Glover Baucom; son, Mark Brooks; 4 grandchildren, Matthew and wife Alicia Baucom, Jason and wife Jennifer Baucom, Dawn Glover Parker and husband Danny, Nathan and wife Melissa Glover 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild;
Brother, David and wife Libby Dye, sisters, Jerri Wright, Joyce and husband Jack Barbee, Barbara Glenn, Ann Green, Linda and husband Johnny.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, April 17th at 2:00 p.m., at Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Reverends David Keuss and Richard Brown officiating.
Interment will follow at Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with The Releasing of the Doves.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Glover, Danny Parker, Timothy Parker, Michael Smith, Cody Baucom and Anthony Baucom, Matthew Baucom and Jason Baucom.
