Gastonia- Mr. Haven Hal Giles, 92 of 200 North Hartman Street, passed away peacefully April 26, 2011 with his loving family at his side at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was a native of McDowell County, Colewood, WVA., born December 22, 1918 to the late Bruce and Ellen Giles.
Mr. Giles was a lifelong member of Unity Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his daughter Theresa Seagle and her husband Edward of Gastonia;
Five grandchildren, Hal Bennett, Kimberly Bennett-Seeman and husband Jason; Allison Seagle, Kimberly Richardson and husband James; Brian Seagle; Three Great Grandchildren Kyndall and Gracie Bennett, Tori Richardson
The family will receive friends 1 hr prior to the service at the Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and other times at his residence
Graveside services will be at 2:00pm Friday at Gaston Memorial Park with Rev. Roger Mathis officiating
