Hall Edison Mauney

Gastonia- Hall Edison Mauney, 86 passed away peacefully on February 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at the Robin Johnson House.

He was born in Gaston County, NC on February 3, 1929 to the late Manardie and Annie Mae Lewis Mauney. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife of 57 years Sarah Stewart Mauney.
Hall was a member of East Garrison Baptist Church and a charter member of Brookleigh Baptist. Hall was a veteran of the US Air Force. He retired from textiles where he worked many years as a Supervisor. He loved the outdoors and fishing. Hall would walk some days 10 to 15 miles to exercise.

Survivors include his loving daughters, Beth Mauney Hoffman (Fred), Cyndi Mauney Sowell (Niles); Grandchildren; Mandy Hoffman-Ford (Chris), Jordan Hoffman Park (Johnathon) and Hayley Sowell; Great grandsons, Bryson Park and Colton Ford; Sister, Nardie Mae Stepp (Raeford)

Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2015 at Mauney Family Cemetery, Stanley, NC with Reverend William James officiating.
Pallbearers will be Fred Hoffman, Chris Ford, Niles Sowell, Johnathon Park, Ken Walker and Clyde Cantrell.
