Guy R. Farr

' Guy Robert Farr, 71, walked through the gates of heaven on November 14, 2012. He was born March 15, 1941 in Robbinsville, NC. Son of the late Cleburne and Myrtle Farr of Robbinsville, NC. He graduated from Robbinsville High School. He served in the Army from 1964 to 1966 and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church, retired from Wix Filters as a supervisor with 37 years of service. Guy loved to work outside in his yard and garden. He enjoyed going to auctions and spending time fishing with his grandsons.
He is survived by his wife of almost 48 years Sue Farr, daughters Gina Odem and husband Clay, Tonya Wood and husband Chip, and Shawna Jarrell and husband Scott, grandchildren Jonathon Odem, Jason Odem, Matthew Jarrell, Alex Jarrell, Nathan Jarrell and Amanda Wood Williams and husband Brandon, brother Harold Campbell from Baltimore, MD., and sisters Betty Jean Frazier of Waynesville, NC., Frankie Bailey and husband Roy from Robbinsville, NC., and Mary Reader of Robbinsville, NC., and many nieces and nephews.
