Dallas- Jonathan Grant Blake, 55 passed away January 19, 2017 at Duke University Hospital.
He was born in Gaston County, NC to Dorothy Jenkins Blake and the late Johnny Hubert Blake.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Blake and sister Clara Blake.
Grant was a member of Rankin Lake Baptist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, playing golf, football and cards.
Survivors include his mother, Dottie Jenkins Blake; children, Jonathan Grant Blake, II, Shannon Blake Carpenter and husband Brandon, grandchildren; Isabella Blake, Olivia Carpenter, sister, Dana Sue Blake nephew Blake Leopard; mother of his children Susan Blake and his fur babies Mac and Tobey
Celebration of life service will be at 3:00 pm, Monday, January 23nd at Rankin Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Loftis officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm prior to the service.
Inurnment will be Private at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Duke Medical Center 710 West Main Street, Suite 200, Durham, NC 27701
