Dallas- Grady Franklin Huggins, 82 passed away peacefully on August 20, 2016 at his residence.

He was born in Gaston County on March 13, 1934 to Hugh Summey Huggins and Ruth Costner Huggins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Huggins

Grady enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband father and friend. Grady retired from Duke Energy as a marketing manager with over 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, Otelia Clark Huggins; his daughters, Margaret Huggins, Laura Willis Dellinger and husband Jacob; his wonderful grandchildren, Lacey, Tia and Harold Willis; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Huggins; nephew David Huggins and many nieces and nephews


Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the. service.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Jonathan A. Schnibben officiating and with Military honor by the Gaston County Honor Guard

Interment will be Private at a later date

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 531 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC 28034
