Gastonia – Grace Ellen McKenzie Lane, 92 went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 27, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House.
She was born in Marion, SC, on September 19, 1926 to the late Fred and Fannie Herring McKenzie.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Reverend Shady Marvin Lane; Sisters, Maxie Nunnery, Jean Marilyn Inman and an infant sister, Paula; brothers, Roy "Buddy" and Wallie McKenzie.
Mrs. Lane and Reverend Lane was founder of Holiness Church of God, 2807 Goble Street, Gastonia, NC.
Survivors include her daughter Sandra J. Lane; a sister in law, Lois Lane Priest and a nephew Cliff Priest; and many other nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, at Holiness Church of God, 2807 Goble Street, Gastonia, NC with Reverend Charles Curtis officiating.
Entombment will follow at Evergreen "A Quiet Place"
