Stanley- Grace Whitley Kennedy, 83, passed away July 28, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Gaston County, born August 3, 1926 to the late Siphon and Emma Whitley
Grace retired from J.P. Stevens Company after 38 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Avery Kennedy.
Survivors include Mike Kennedy and wife Deborah of Stanley, Granddaughter Donna Kennedy of Dallas, Great-grandchildren Shelby and Joshua Ward, two great-great grandchildren, Caden Riddle, and Bailey Merritt, all of Stanley.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday at Victory Hill Baptist Church, Dallas, with Reverend Sandy Bozeman officiating, visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Holly.
Pallbearers for the service will be Jerry Riddle, Jeff Johnson, Ronnie Parker, Ken Putnam, Bob Homesley, and Jay Jones.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Victory Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 638, Dallas NC 28034
