Gloria J. Threlkeld

Gastonia-Gloria Jackson Threlkeld, 72, of Gastonia went home to be with the Lord May 18, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great greatmother.
She was a native of Marlboro County, born November 18, 1937 to the late Ralph and Betty Miller Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Ralph Steven Threlkeld, a brother, Jerry Lane Jackson
Gloria was a graduate of Ashley High School, co-owner along with her husband with Threlkeld Painting and Remodeling for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 54 yrs., Gary E Threlkeld
Her children: Phillip and wife Donna M. Threlkeld,
Randy and wife Donna D. Threlkeld,
Jerry and wife Luan S Threlkeld all of Gastonia;
Grandchildren: Jennifer and husband Jamie Carpenter,
Ashley and husband Freddie Dow, Jordan Threlkeld, Erica Threlkeld, Chase Threlkeld, Cassie Threlkeld, Randall Threlkeld all of Gastonia, and Jason Evans of Hawaii
Great Grandchildren: Tripp and Connor Dow, Alexis Carpenter and Dakota Evans
Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, May 21, 2010 at East Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Parker officiating
Entombment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the
Releasing of the Doves
