Gastonia - Glenn E. Caldwell, 80 of 2509 Georgemont Ct., Gastonia passed away peacefully November 20, 2012 at his residence.
He was a native of Gaston County, born November 24, 1931 to the late Lee Perry and Della Fisher Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Steven Caldwell; his brothers, William Ross Caldwell, Julius Lee Caldwell and Bonnie Clyde Caldwell; his sisters Rosie C. Fletcher and Helen C. Simon.
Glenn was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during Korean War.
Glenn was a life long home builder, who loved his work, the beach and his family. He was owner and operator of Glenn Caldwell Construction
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Carol Killian Caldwell; his children Janice C. Roach and husband Steve, Michael E. Caldwell and wife Crystal, Nancy Caldwell-Baker and husband Jim all of Gastonia, Mark S. Caldwell and wife Phyllis of Rock Hill, SC;
Step daughters, Winn Caskey and husband Joey, Candace Brown and husband Kevin of Gastonia;
Grandchildren, Stephanie Caldwell, Lauren C. Dukes, Adam Caldwell, Ashley Baker, James Glenn Baker, Lisa Bass, Shannon Lawson, Kell Benson, Erin and Addison Caskey, Raegan and Anna Brown; two great grandchilren, Zane and Lilli Bass; brothers Jack R. Caldwell and wife Betty of Gastonia, Clarence David Caldwell of Alameda, CA; and a sister Lucille C. Denton and husband Clarence of Gastonia.
Visitation will be Friday November 23, from 6:00 - 8:00 at Parkwood Baptist Church
Funeral services will be 2:00 Saturday, November 24 at Parkwood Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Long officiating.
Interment will be Private at Gaston Memorial Park with military honors by Gaston County Honor Guard.
