Gladys S. Jarrett

Dallas-Mrs. Gladys Street Jarrett, 77 of Dallas passed away February 10, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Gaston County, NC born September 7, 1934 to the late Clarence Adam and Lillie Broadwater Street. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Talmadge and Dennis Street. Gladys was a member of Community Baptist Church,she retired from Temple Baptist Church and had worked at Piedmont Motors for many years as a bookkeeper.
Gladys was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; she loved her family dearly and enjoyed her gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Robert Lee 'Bob' Jarrett;
her daughter Ann Davenport and husband Joe of Dallas; Two granddaughters Hannah and Alexis Huggins;
Sisters Patricia Evitt of Garland, Tx, Joyce Loftin of Mt. Holly, Doris Homan and husband Richard of Hillsville, VA,
Barbara McEntire and husband James of Ranlo
And many nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends 6:00 until 8:00pm Thursday, February 16th at Community Baptist Church, 823 Dallas Stanley Hwy, Dallas
Celebration of Life service will be 2:00pm Friday, February 17th, 2012 at Community Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Seagle officiating
Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Dogwood section,Pallbearers will be Tim Wilson, Ronald Loftin, John McEntire, Bruce Street, Mike Shaw and Randy Cline
