Gerald E. Hoffman

Dallas-Gerald Edwin Hoffman, 75 of 3319 Cloninger Road, Dallas passed away peacefully February 17, 2012 at the Robin Johnson House surrounded by his family.

He was a native of Gaston County, born September 11, 1936 to the late William Bryant and Elsie Cline Hoffman, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson Daniel Blaine Hall

Mr. Hoffman was a U.S. Army; he enjoyed making knives fishing and the outdoors. Gerald loved raising birds and had a bird farm for many years. He worked at Burlington Industries and had retired from Rauch Industries

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years Linda Parker Hoffman
a daughter Rhonda Hoffman Hall and husband Reverend Jon Hall
his brothers Gene Hoffman of Mayo, SC and W. B. Hoffman Jr. of Spencer Mountain, a sister Carolyn H. Perkins of Gastonia; a number of nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:30 PM prior to the service at 2:00pm
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Hensley and rev. Clarence McMahan officiating.
Entombment will follow after the service at Gaston Memorial Park , Garden of Prayer with Military rites by the N.C. National Honor Guard

The family requests memorials be made to Grace Baptist Church, FLC Building Fund, 2200Auten Road, Gastonia, NC 28054
