Dallas – George Willis Carter, 69, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2021, at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville.
He was a native of Gaston County, born on March 19, 1952, to the late Willis Clarence "Nook" Carter and Jean Ann Rhyne Carter.
George retired from AT&T after 36 years of dedicated service. He was in the U.S. Army Reserve and was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 22 years, Patti Willis Carter; Two Daughters and Four grandchildren; his brothers, Greg (Beth) Carter and Dan (Elaine) Carter; Sister, Susie (Jimmy) Ferguson; Several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 14th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Communion Lutheran Cemetery Fund, 103 West Church Street, Dallas, NC 28034.
