Gastonia-George Neal Beaty, 87 of 3218 Beaty Road, went to be with the Lord June 13, 2012 at Belaire Health Care Center.
He was a native of Gaston County, born December 8, 1924 to the late Bert and Jennie Hill Beaty.
Neal was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army, WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Danny and a granddaughter Trisha Beaty and two brothers, Robert and David
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and was an avid enjoyed gardener and farmer; he also enjoyed selling his produce.
Survivors include his wife of almost 66 years, Edith Waters Beaty;
His children, Bobby Beaty and wife Linda of Belmont, Patsy Jordan and husband Mike, Randy Beaty and wife Barbara Beaty, Timothy Beaty and wife Debbie all of Gastonia; Grandchildren, Beverly, Mike, Mandy, Carolyn, Jennifer, Tracy, Brandon and April, Twelve Great Grandchildren
A brother, Harvey Beaty of Gastonia, and a sister Frances Beaty of Gastonia
Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday, June 15, 2012 at Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Steve Hensley and Reverend A.A. Bailey officiating.
The family will receive 2:00 until 3:00pm Friday in the Church
Interment will be in the church cemetery with Military Honors
Pallbearers will Mike and Brandon Beaty, Zach Tewell, Chris Small, Josh Harper and Eric Truett
