Gene A. Fitzgerald

Gastonia ' Gene Alfred Fitzgerald, 69 of 1104 Union New Hope Road, passed away peacefully May 25, 2011 at his residence.
He was a native of Towns County, GA born July 14, 1941 to the late Joseph Albert and Louise Tench Fitzgerald.
Gene was a member of Foursquare Gospel in Belmont, and a veteran of the US Navy. Gene was retired from trucking.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Marlowe Fitzgerald
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Darlene Garrett Fitzgerald
His daughters Holly F. Lewis, Anna Fitzgerald, Erin Eskridge and husband Brad
Brothers Bob Fitzgerald of TN and Paul Fitzgerald of Butner;
and a sister Gail Guffie of Belmont
Four Grandchildren, Falon, Zion and Kaden Lewis, Ava Suggs
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, May 27, at 12:00 Noon at Foursquare Gospel Church of Belmont with Pastor Kevin Ford officiating.
Visitation will be 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery followed by military honors by the NC National Honor Guard and the Releasing of the Doves
Pallbearers will be Brad Eskridge, Mike Fitzgerald, Neil Suggs, Daniel Pahutski, Joe Baier and Mark Young
