Gail Phillips

Gail Phillips, 80, passed away peacefully at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on August 8, 2024 with her family by her side. 

She was born in Clay County, North Carolina, on March 7, 1944 to the late Frank and Bertha Coker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, June Owenby. 

Gail was a faithful member of Riverside Baptist Church in Cramerton. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. Most of all, she was a dedicated caregiver to her husband and really was a caregiver to all of her family. Gail leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gary Phillips; sons, Olin Phillips (Debbie) and Allen Phillips (Grace); sisters, Dale Coker and Frankie Crawley; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

Family and friends will gather from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Steve Hicks officiating.
