Gail Byrd Lingerfelt

Gastonia – Gail Byrd Lingerfelt, 67 passed away January 31, 2015 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Gaston County, NC on March 9, 1947 to Katharyn Tench Byrd and the late Lyle Woodrow Byrd.
She was preceded in death by her father, a sister Carolyn Byrd and a baby sister.
Gail was a member of Landmark Baptist Church; she was the first graduating class 1965 of Hunter Huss High School. Gail retired from Becton's Office Supply, Gastonia. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and loved flowers.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years Larry Lingerfelt;
son Gary Lingerfelt and wife Chrystal, and a daughter Beverly Gentry and husband Joe all of Dallas; her mother Katharyn Tench Byrd of Dallas, sister Patsy Harris and husband Marshall; brothers Rex Byrd, Ross Byrd and wife Hazel, Jerry Byrd and wife Sylvia, Glenn Byrd; Grandchildren Andrew, Matthew Bolding, Joseph Gentry, Kayla Moss, Christopher Lingerfelt and Stephanie Robbins, Great grandchildren Bailey Price and Alanna Bolding.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Carroll Hennessee officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Tuesday, February 3 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andrew and Matthew Bolding, Christopher Lingerfelt, David and Eddie Pullen, and Jody Byrd.
The family would like to thank the staff at SICU at CaroMont Regional for their wonderful care of Gail.
