Fredrick "Ray-Ray" Olen Weaver

September 11, 1993 — July 22, 2016

Fredrick O. Weaver III
1993-2016
On September 11, 1993, Fredrick Weaver III was born. It was the best day of our lives. Fredrick was the most beautiful baby boy. He remained with us for only 22 years, when he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on July 22, 2016. It was the worst day of our lives. We lost our dear Fredrick – an awesome, wonderful, intelligent, kind, generous, amazing person! He loved us all deeply and always let us know! He was generous with his loving words and never held back. He lived life to the fullest and found great joy in his relationships, hobbies and intellectual pursuits.
As a child, Fredrick participated in many church sports teams, often with his Dad as coach. He attended Awana Bible club at church. He also earned his black belt in karate. From the ages of 10 to 14, he often went to work with his Dad at the car lot. He loved to detail cars and do any kind of work alongside his father. From his PawPaw, he learned all about rental house maintenance and repair and became very handy at painting, plumbing, cleaning gutters or whatever else needed to be done. He was always a very hard worker and was involved in many kinds of work and volunteer activity throughout his life. He spent a few years volunteering at the public library; he worked as a lifeguard for the YMCA; he was a stocker at a grocery store; he worked for both sets of grandparents, helping with chores, odd jobs and yard work; because of his excellent grasp of the subject matter, he was chosen to assistant teach biology study sessions at college; and he had recently begun delivering pizzas. He put all of his heart and energy into whatever he was doing. He loved his fiancée Faith dearly and planned to marry her, have children, and provide for his family as a doctor or P.A. He loved his parents, grandparents and siblings and made them all feel very special. He loved spending time with MeMe and PawPaw and Grandma and Papa and took the time throughout his college years to keep in close contact with them. He was everything to his Mom and Dad.
Fredrick's childhood was a time of wonder and discovery. All through his life, he would exclaim that it was the "best day ever" or that he was "so excited." His positive attitude was contagious. He did not waste time on negativity and did not stand in judgment of other people. He had joy, love, laughter and hope for a great future. We homeschooled him until he went to college, and it was a joy. He was always passionately interested in life and never stopped learning. He was extremely intelligent and spent countless hours reading, studying, thinking and discussing things, so that any topic you might want to talk about, he had a meaningful insight or explanation. He was very good at seeing the big picture and yet knew the smallest details. He was full of great ideas. He knew how to fix things, make things, do things, go places. He was confident but not conceited. He loved music, concerts, books, video games, college classes, Panthers football games, science, math, conversation, and spending precious moments with family and friends. He played the guitar and was self-taught. He was a faithful son and grandson and kept strong relationships with his parents (Rick & Ruth), grandparents (Fred & Cherrie Weaver and Dick & Trish Gabriel) and siblings (David, Jewel & Lincoln). He was devoted to his fiancée Faith, and she was his #1 focus. He loved her with all his heart and spoke to her and about her with great affection. Fredrick and Faith were inseparable. They were fully committed to each other and had great plans for the future
Fredrick will be missed every day until we see him again in heaven. He accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior when he was six years old and lived a life of love. Being with him was a bit of heaven on Earth to me, his mother, and to all of those who loved him. He and his father Rick were best friends who spent countless hours together, enjoying each other's time, companionship and shared interests, including music, sports and cars. Fredrick was a great person who will be sorely missed and never forgotten. We will never understand why he left us so soon but we will put our trust in God to carry us through and comfort us as we grieve.
