Dallas – Freddie Lee Jenkins McMickle, 74, passed away on September 5, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Gaston County on February 9, 1947 to the late William Harold Jenkins and Lorretta Elizabeth Hull Jenkins. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Thad McMickle.
Freddie was a member of Dallas Baptist Church. She worked in many different careers in her lifetime she started working at Mary Jo's Cloth Store, and she sold Tupperware for many years, where she was a top seller. She also sold crafts at the Flee Market and did card resets at the Family Dollar.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, William Thad McMickle, Jr.; her sons, William Thad McMickle, III and wife Rebecca, and Douglas Harold McMickle; grandchildren, Victoria McMickle and husband Tommy Jay DiBernardo, Kandace Kirkland McMickle, Austin Daniel Brandon; great grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth, Cooper Jaxon, Isabella Saith, Camden Alexander, Carson Grey and Lainey Rae; sisters, Sandra Ramsey and Linda Barker; niece, Sheila and Louy Baldwin; great nieces Alexis Daniel and Savannah Brooks
Visitation for family and friends will be 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 10th, 2021 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with a 2:00 p.m. service to follow in the Chapel with Rev. Barron Lee and Rev. Scott Henson officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with The Releasing of the Doves
