Freda Jean Q Edwards

Gastonia ' Freda Jean Edwards, 67 passed away peacefully December 5, 2011 with her loving family by her side at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Gaston County, born December 6, 1943 to the late Everette and Nellie Splawn Queen. She was preceded in death by her parents her brother, Everette 'Tony' Queen. Freda was a loving wife, mother and granny. She retired from Gaston Memorial Hospital with over 33 years of service, and was a member of Grace Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, James Edwards; her children Steven Baucom and wife Regina of Belmont; Dawn Fullerton and husband Jeff of Stanley; Ricky Edwards and companion Dana Bolick of Alexis; Grandchildren Michael, David, Samantha, Wendy, Lee and Tonya; Six Great grandchildren; Special Friends Tim and Lisa Shuping of Gastonia

The family will receive friends 1:00 until 2:00pm prior to the service
Celebration of Life service will be 2:00pm Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Edwards and Rev. David Phillips officiating.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park,
