Franklin Delano McDonald, Jr.

Dallas – Franklin Delano McDonald, Jr., 62, passed away at his residence on May 22, 2023.

He was born in Gaston County to the late Franklin Delano McDonald, Sr. and Betty Kirkland McDonald. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Frady.

Franklin enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and going on long walks. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his aunts, Belle Smith and Rita Kirkland; cousin, Colin and Betty Smith; nephews, Jimmy and Nicholas Frady; brother-in-law, James Frady (Angela); and many more cousins and family members.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Gaston Memorial Park in the Dogwood section, 1200 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC, with Pastor Todd Terry and Pastor Tim Smith officiating.
