Cramerton – Otis Franklin "Frank" Sanders, 83 – passed away peacefully on June 1, 2020 at the Robin Johnson House.

He was born in Shelbyville, TN on August 7, 1936 to the late Joseph and Daisy Hawkersmith Sanders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie H. Sanders; his son, Ronald Sanders; brothers, Roy R. Sanders and W.T. Sanders and sister, Vera Mae Parker.

Frank was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed. Frank was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was a member of Lowell Free Will Baptist Church. Frank had a loving and giving heart that never met a stranger.

Left to cherish his memories includes his children, Tammie S. Watson; Jody Sanders (Tina); grandchildren, Andrew Greene, Tyler Sanders, Shannon Sanders, Jason Sanders and Stacie Handsel; and 2 great grandchildren; brother, Leon Sanders; step-daughters, Brenda Costner and Janice Blanton; and close friend, Judy Sanders Harrison.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5th at Goshen Free Will Baptist Church in the Family Life Center, 1300 West Catawba Avenue, Mt. Holly, NC with Pastor Richard Sigmon officiating. The family will greet friends as they leave the service. Military Honors provided by the Gaston County Honor Guard and Shaw Air Force Base Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Lowell Free Will Baptist Church, 3010 Lowell Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
