Frances Killian Davis

Gastonia – Frances Killian Davis, 79 of Gastonia, NC passed away peacefully on April 1, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gaston County, on January 21, 1935 to the late Grady and Nell Smith Killian.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Marty Thomas and a brother Arnold Killian.
Fran was an active member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church for over 42 years, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, served on the pulpit committee and was on the bus ministry. She also served Meals on Wheels and was very active ministering to area nursing home. She was a true inspiration to everyone. Fran was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Gerald F Davis; her sons Ronnie and Steven Thomas; step children, Joe Davis, Bill Davis, Jerry Davis and Becky Davis Stewart; Grandchildren, Melissa Buckley, Samantha Whiteside, Sterling Davis, Keith Frix, Allen Poteat and Jenna Landacre; Seven great grandchildren, her sisters, Carol Berry, Dot Lee, Nancy Gibson and special friend Carolyn Neal and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of her life will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, April 4, 2014 at Chapel Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Roger Overton, Jr. officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Entombment will follow at Westview Gardens with the Releasing of the Doves.
Pallbearers will be Austin Frix, Keith Frix, Dylan Frix, Brett Buckley, Eugene Palmer, Jason Barber
